Education and Health stated, "When the child is given freedom to move about in a world of objects, he is naturally inclined to perform the tasks necessary for his development entirely on his own." With the new situation of the students taking responsibility for themselves, why is it that we need to be monitored so closely just to get senior privileges. You have told us that struggle is good and to be more responsible, but yet you enforce so many rules and regulations we have to follow that we are not allowed to make our own decisions. I have listened to everything you said, and some of it makes sense but to me what you have said is hypocritical, you want us to function in the real world when we get out of high school but the rules and standards you enforce upon us do not prepare us for the real world. The way I see it is if I don’t get senior privileges because I missed a day or two to many because I was selling cows, or going to a bull sale, or going to do banking with my parents than I should still have them. By doing all the things I just mentioned I already have a jump on life, how many teenagers have bought their own pickup, have a loan at the bank, have two cows, and has basically a full time job.
