The American Dream is achievable with hard work;. Yes, there are many opposing statements such as,

“whether these dreams of economic opportunity,personal liberty, and civil rights are still within reach in America” (Clark).

The whole point of The American Dream is to try to reach you personal goal. When trying to reach for something hard; for example curing cancer, there will be fails. Just because the goal failed doesn't mean it's ‘The American Dreams fault’. The whole purpose of the American dream is to try and reach your dream even if it takes a lot of work

Becoming a surgeon would mean the world to me especially when it's all i ever wanted to do since i was a little girl. My other goal is to move back to Arizona, arizona was my home and it's hard not being home. My parents are divorced and it was fine when we lived in the same state because i could go see him whenever. My dad taught me to do what i love doing, he's my motivation. My dad helps me keep my motivation going, because i know one day when i graduate college with a med degree, i will make him the proudest dad alive. That's my goal.
