When is the only time you are safe from teachers, homework, and projects? Lunch. As the only time you get to commune with your fellow students, it makes up a vital portion of the day. Lunch is important for many reasons. But why is it so important? Why do we have lunch? How come it’s my favorite part of the day? These are all very good questions. This essay is all about the importance of lunch and why we have it today. The first reason that lunch is important is the reason it was created. Hunger is a tragedy that strikes us all as humans, and we all have to deal with it every so often. It can be very distracting, and at times get in the way of whatever we are trying to do. I think I would find myself thinking more about food than my work. Without lunch I would be very distracted all day long. Which is why we have lunch. Some kids are very social, while others aren’t. It can be difficult for kids who like to talk to be silent for an entire day. Lunch gives these kids a time to talk to their friends, and maybe make new friends. There are many things to discuss, from important things like due dates, to the absurd things like people falling asleep in class. In conclusion, I think lunch is the best part of the day because of numerous reasons. One is that it helps you get through the day. This way you are not distracted and don’t have to learn on an empty stomach. Another reason is it allows you to take a break. In order to stay focused throughout the day, I think you need a break.
