Why We Should Leave Emperor Qin's Tomb Alone

For over 2 millennium, the first Emperor of China has been in an underground tomb that took decades to build and prepare. Emperor Qin Shihuang was a fearful emperor; he feared death. Emperor Win thought that drinking mercury, a poisonous substance, would solve his fear and make him immortal; it didn’t help, and he died at the age of 39. I strongly believe that archaeologist and the Chinese government should leave Emperor Qin's tomb alone.
The Chinese government and archaeologists should leave Emperor Qin’s tomb alone because they are lacking the proper technology. The modern world’s technology is not quite yet fully developed; archeologists need to wait before they excavate the tomb. Old writings suggest that there are booby traps and automatic firing arrows around the tomb. The booby traps and arrows may have been there for thousands of years, and they may think the traps and arrows don’t work and won’t fire. But they will be even more dangerous because archaeologists won’t expect them; the arrows may be delayed, and they will not know when the arrows are going to fire. Also, tests that have been taken of the soil around the tomb contain high levels of mercury. There is a river full of mercury. Another scientist even suggests that there is 100 tons of mercury (200,000 pounds) in the tomb. Mercury is a liquid metal that is poisonous and very harmful to the human body. Going into the tomb contaminated with poisonous liquid is not worth risking the life of a human being.
