Lord of the flies follows the a group of adolescent school boys who got stranded on a deserted island when being evacuated from Britain during a war. Upon landing on the island, two of those boys, Piggy, and Ralph, particularly find each other. Between the two boys, Piggy finds a conch shell and they learn that you can use it as a horn. Using the discovered information, Piggy and Ralph uses the conch as a tool to summon any of the other boys who survived the plane crash. When all of the surviving boys are gathered together, they elect a leader, Ralph. After being elected leader, Ralph assigns the choir leader, Jack, to be in charge of the choir to hunt food.
Ralph, Piggy, and another boy, Simon, set out to explore the island to get the basic layout of the place. The boys decide that a signal fire should be lit at the top of the mountain, so they light one using Piggy’s glasses. As time goes on, they leave the

Making their way to the fire spot, they realize that the hunters left the fire to chase a pig. Returning with their first catch of game, the hunters seem to go into a craze when it comes to hunting, even reminiscence how they killed the pig by reenacting the scene. Things break loose when Ralph and Piggy confront Jack and his choir about their wrongdoings, but things are admonished with blowing the conch.
Ralph brings up how the littluns are having nightmares of a monster on the island. Although most of the boys want to believe so, they are told to think logically. Later on, war fighter planes fly over the island with a parachutist, dead, falling onto the island all while the young boys are asleep. When waking up, the twins who were suppose to be watching the fire see the shadow of the parachute and hear the noises of the flapping parachute from the wind, making them believe it’s the monster due to
