Winnie the Pooh is a unique character that people can look at and smile. In the online realm, Pooh bear is well liked by many of his friends including, Christopher robin, Piglet, and Eyor. We decided to use Tumblr as a way to clearly depict how Winnie the Pooh interacts with his friends. By using Tumblr, this allows Pooh bears’ friends to play with him by commenting on posts, reminiscing on the memories they have had, and talking with one another using the voice thread. Winnie the Pooh would act in a way where he wants Christopher Robbins to always be by his side. People determine who you are by how they see you. Our identity is based purely on our relationships and how people see us. In regards to Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robbins is his best friend. They both help each other out and have become part of one another. “This is some of the best honey that I have tried! I am sure that Christopher Robin would agree also but that it is some of the best!” This is an example of social relational identity theory because the friendship that him and Christopher Robbin share is so strong that Winnie The Pooh is always thinking about Christopher as well as the similarities they share. The Social Identity theory correlates with the use of our Tumblr account due to the fact that this is a social media website. Tumblr is used to make public posts, share posts, and to tag one another if it applies to them. In Pooh’s case, he follows his friends on tumblr, posts videos and quotes of memories he has with them, and he sends out messages to them when he wants to share something. The features that are used on Tumblr create this person to person social connection where they can be connected and not miss out on events that go on if they are not physically
