Growing up all the witches had was each other, They were never given a chance to make friends or even prove to people that they weren't as bad as people thought. They were always treated like outcast no matter how kind they attempted to be. They were misjudged and mistreated based on stereotypes. The older they got, the more spiteful and manipulative they became. Now their main objective in life is to fool and manipulate people, which could be seen as either revenge because of the way people treated them or an act for fun to see what they could do with their powers. The witches want to be treated equally and fair, but people just can't seem to get over the fact that they are witches. For example, in the quote which states “ I’ll drain him dry as hay.sleep shall neither night nor day hang upon him penthouse lid. He shall live a man forbid. Weary sev'n nights, nine times, shall he dwindle, peak, and pine. Through his bark cannot be lost, yet it shall be tempest-tossed(1.3. 15-27)”. They plan on doing this by using their supernatural power which includes charms ,and spells. they also plan on achieving this by prophecies, they revealed things to macbeth which made him think he was untouchable and invisible when the war came. As a result of this Macbeth was lead to his downfall instead of his success. The witches goal could be seen as a concept of deception considering the fact that they were able to deceive macbeth for so long into believing every word that they told him from day one, about him becoming king which made him to start considering killing duncan and taking over the kingdom. Not to mention they were able to convince him that he was untouchable and anyone born by a woman couldn't harm him with regards to this he felt safe and comforted by the witches
