Women have had crucial parts in ancient empires, the main one being to bare and raise children. The Huns and The Roman Empires both were both ancient empires on different sides of Eurasia, but they both had some very similar views on women's role in society. While both empires knew that women were needed to keep their civilization alive, the empires had different ways of making sure the women would understand their roles in the empire.
Both of the superpowers raised their women in very different ways. In the Huns empire women were taught at a very young age that their life had to be dedicated to a man, in childhood it was to their father, in adulthood to their husband, and if she was widowed her life was dedicated to her son. The Huns empire also didn't allow women to be educated, whereas in the Roman Empire women were educated through primary school, then only the rich ones could finish their education. If you ever visited the ancient Roman Empire you might see a businesswoman, or maybe even a female nurse, but if you went to the ancient Hun Empire you wouldn't see any women working because they were not allowed to work. In both countries did not allow women to run in public office, but in the Huns empire if a woman successfully got her son on the throne she could advise him, whereas women in the Roman Empire rarely ever got to advice their sons if they were the emperor.

One thing that both of the empires did was royal marriages, they would end wars with marriages between the Royals of the two countries. Both empire also had to stop the men in their armies from seeing women at different points because they thought that women distracted the men from their work. The superpowers also saw a big correlation between a strong family life a strong country, they taught their children at a young age that a strong family was the key to a happy
