One of the events we have went over in class is The Women’s Right Movement, it took place from 1848-1920. Women did peaceful protests for years to get their rights equal to men and it didn't work. This led to women willing to anything for people to vote for women. Protests went from peaceful, to violent outbreaks in many communities until their voices were heard.
