Do you not want your mother, grandmother, aunt, sister or niece to have rights? The Progressive Era fought to change abuses for women's rights, working conditions and prohibition. Woman not getting the rights they deserve was soon changed when Amendment 19 was created.The working conditions were horrible but, reformed when workmans comp came into place. Prohibition was a movement of prohibiting the sale of alcohol that was later changed by the 18th Amendment.The people fought hard to make these changes during the Progressive Era in order for future Americans to have a better life.
