Womens Role in the Revolutionary War

We usually don’t think much about women’s roles in the Revolutionary War but that does not mean they were not important. In the Revolutionary were women had huge roles, such as nurses,spies,cooks, and some even fought in the war. Women really did do their part in winning the war and helped a lot more than you would think in very important roles. Many women during the revolutionary were nurses, many being wives, daughters and mothers of the male soldiers (brooks) Nurses in the Revolutionary War were crucial to to winning and without them there would have been a lot more deaths. Many nurses worked voluntary just for the food and protection because they could no longer support themselves (brooks)
