He'd come to regret wandering into my woods tonight. As I walked deeper into the woods, I could feel the pulse of his heart growing stronger. In a little clearing a few yards ahead of me, he appeared. He was on his knees, arms spread out from his side and head towards the moon. I slowly crept forward. The sadness rolling off of him was different from anything I have experienced. This sadness was the type where you don't shed tears all the time. It's a sadness that leaves you feeling weak as well as tired. His body trembled from the cold or was it from pain?

Come to me. Drown yourself get rid of your grief. Succumb to my voice", slowly I backed into the water, my arms wide open, "Surrender to my melody."
Willingly he walked forward, reaching for me. Was it the song? His emerald eyes searched the water. "Hey, wait it dangerous to swim at night."
With each step, the water rose higher. This mans kindness was too much. Why did he care? He should be running from a strange girl in the middle of the woods. Why do I care? His body was below the water now.
"Say goodbye." The scales scratched his skin as I wrapped myself around his body. A green underwater paradise created by the moonlight upon my tail. Watching him I continued to drag him down. Suddenly, his face contorted in confusing, his eyes landing on my tail, then my face. The air bubbles seeped from his nostrils rising toward the moon. His heartbroken eyes locked on mine as he drew me closer. He truly wants to die.
But why? I looked into his eyes searching for an answer. I never felt so troubled by human before. What could have caused this man so much pain that he couldn’t cry? Who could have caused it? With all that pain inside of him how could he care about a thing like me? I placed my hand on his heart. I could feel the slow rhythmic beats. Idiot you should have ran the opposite
