The workers of the industrial revolution faced terrible living conditions. The employers, the bosses, would pay the workers as little as possible. This meant that the workers could not afford the nicer places to live. So they usually had a five to nine people living in a one room apartment. This is because they simply did not have the money to afford individual apartments. There were many problems that came with living in such close quarters to one another. The people of the industrial revolution era, had weak immune systems and living in close quarters meant illnesses spread rapidly. With the lack of medicine these illnesses that the individuals contracted often lead to death. The industrial workers would also often get hurt in the workplace.
