Summary Workforce development seeks to improve state, district or county's financial or economic security, wealth and success by focusing their attention on people rather than companies. Workforce development has develop gradually over the years from focusing on the issues, to addressing problems such as workers who have little to no working skills or a high level education or the need for more workers in a specific business, to a complete approach taking into account participants' numerous obstacles and the general requirements of the state or district. The purpose of this article is to inform the public about the role community college plays in economic development and their well-known mission and vision to help students prepare for jobs through educational programs. Workforce training in the community college provides both credit and non-credit courses for students who are currently seeking a position at a company which requires them to have some type of skills or certification. Through community college training program, professional development and other learning opportunities, workforce development is devoted and committed to improve economic growth and the quality of life all across the United States. When the author interviewed several colleagues across the United States on economic development examples from community colleges, he found that every community colleges are working together with businesses in the community to create programs and courses that will benefit the needs of the local developing community and growing economic. Nickoli stated in the article that "Community colleges must be proactive in presenting themselves as partners in economic development, they must partner more aggressively with universities, K-12 schools, local development entities, and other community organizations committed to building sustainable and vibrant local and regional economies" (Nickoli,
