The most common form of communication is email. The company I work for is open 24 hours and sometimes people need to communicate with someone that does not work their shift. They will probably never see each other epically if one works nights and one works mornings. Email is a for sure way to get in touch with them.

What are some common issues you have seen with written communication in the workplace?

Things like notes and letters get lost all the time especially being the type of workplace that it is. A lot of workers do not have offices and mailboxes to put anything in but they do have a login on the computer that they have access to and a written email to that person will be notified that they have an email.
