B. 1. The first WiO concept that constituted a significant learning that I took away from the reading in the chapter was the concept of workplace romance and how it occurs in the work place.
B. 1. A. The way that I had taken this information in on workplace romance is just basically what I had heard about it from higher ups in my place of work; and how human resources restricts this type of thing from occurring in the workplace. The concept of workplace romance is when there is some type of relations going on between two people who work together . They can either be going out/dating, sleeping with each other, or saying little romantic comments to each other while at work. What I really found to be interesting and which helped implement my learning, …show more content…

The way that I intend to use this learning to further my personal career as an HR professional, and my life aspirations in the future is to make sure that all of my employees know about this policy. I will have an enforced workplace romance policy that will be effective on date of hire. I feel that having this policy in effect, and letting all of the employees know about it, that it will diminish and such events occurring and no one will have to get into trouble. The first offense, and they will be documented immediately. The second time that I hear of such workplace romances occurring I will personally make sure that whoever is involved, be terminated. Going further into my personal career as an HR professional, I would not tolerate any sexual relationships to be going on with the workers inside of the work place. What they do outside of the job is on them, but if it gets brought up in the job, or things are going on; that constitutes workplace romances, then I will have to take …show more content…
2. B. i. The way that I have experienced this learning of white-collar jobs in my life to date, is when I worked as a pharmacy intern, at Rx Drugs & Meds in the summer of 2011. While working here, I literally had a supervisor who wore a white collared lab coat with her name stitched on it, and I was just so surprised when I saw that on her. She was a pharmacists and she had on a white collared lab coat, I just knew that she was in a higher authority than me, I loved it. I had knew right from that very moment that I wanted to be a person like that; who is able to wear a coat like that with your name on it, and be in charge.
