Well I'm going to tell you some religions that people believed in back then and still believe in now. Some of these religions are Buddhism,
Hinduism and Judaism. First religion I am going to tell you about is Buddhism. A guy name Siddhartha Gautama
(another name for Buddha Shakyamuni) founded this religion. Most people believed that
Siddhartha lived from 566 BC to 480 BC. In the late 6th century, Siddhartha went to a Bodh Tree that is taken place in Bodh Gaya, India and mediate there for six years until he attain enlightenment. This religion became very important to Asia and India. Buddhism created the

This is the third largest and the oldest religion in the world. It has 950,000,000 followers, covering 14 percent of the world's population. This religion is polytheistic. It has taken away violence and made this religion a peaceful religion. Hinduism created the Caste System. A Caste System is a groups of social classes into which a person is born and lives in. If you had good karma, then you get to be in the higher caste. If you had bad karma, then you get into the lower caste. Classes (highestlowest) that are in this system are Brahman, Kshatriya, Vaishya, Sundra, and Untouchables. This system became illegal in 1948. A collection of sacred texts are called
