It is such a terrible, horrifying sight to see, read and listen about it every day in my life. This I refer to is the global issue of World Hunger, malnutrition, un-ability to secure food, etc. It’s so depressing to see thousands and thousand of people suffer, knowing we have what they need the most. The actual amount of people in this world that suffer from hunger and starvation is horrific, so hopefully this will all come to an end in the future, completely. The ability for some people throughout the globe to obtain the food they most truly need, daily, can be utterly impossible. Skin and bones show, causing anorexia and other diseases from starvation that are disappointing sights. With the help and ideas from the wonderful, very wealthy man by the name of Bill Gates, this serious problem with the most innocent people that suffer can hopefully be solved as time progresses. At WFP.org, (United Nations World Food Programme) I discovered that Asia is the continent with the largest quantity of hungry people. They hold two-thirds of the world’s total. Southern Asia’s situation is casually decreasing, which is great to see, but unfortunately, the western portion of the Asian continent is increasing in hunger and each day passes by. Affected by little water that is also just plain filthy, and no food sources around the area, these people will continue to suffer if nothing is improved. Another statistic I had found was that poor nutrition causes nearly half (45%) of deaths in children under five - 3.1 million children each year. This is unreal, and as soon as possible, needs to be addressed and focused on
