In the past many intellectuals assumed reality is based on a supernatural being, Biblical or otherwise, and is based on things that does not change. Socialism was very influential in economics, the end game for this type of economic system was to obtain as much control as possible from the producers, which was the opposite of how economics began. When economics started is was a market oriented economy, where the prices were determined by supply and demand. Then after the influence of socialism it turned into a to a planned economy, where the government determines distribution, labor, and production, just to name a few. This then created many significant changes that caused huge ramifications. One of which was a corrupt currency, reason being is that the only way a planned economy can work is the state control the market by manipulating the banking system. According to Martin these actions began in the United States in 1913 with the Federal Reserve. Reason being is that no longer was the currency backed by gold or any other valuable goods that could be exchanged. “This, then, will lead to so-called inflation as the government takes advantage of its control over an unbacked currency to devalue the currency, in order to repay its debts with less than it owes,” meaning the government is not being honest to their debtors because they are stealing (Martin, …show more content…
Process philosophy seemed to influenced every aspect of society, including the economy. Socialism, an aspect of process philosophy, influenced the economic system into turning into a planned economy. When an economy turns into a planned economy the result is ripping off their debtors. In other words, they are stealing, which means that other aspects of government and society becomes even more corrupt and evil. Which is what happened to the Soviet Union, the government worried about themselves and not the consumers, causing a shortage of resources. Which then, with many other forms of corrupt behavior, the economy eventually collapsed. Another aspect of a planned economy is that it does many things the Bible says not to do, such as steal. If a government takes the principles of the Bible out of the government it can cause a nation to collapse in some type of way, in the Soviet Union’s case it was economically. I believe that if the government use Biblical principles as a foundation on how to economically run the country; they would have a healthy economy with enough resources and supplies for their citizens and
