Would You Quit Or Quit In A Continental Army In The American Continental Army?

April 19th, 1775 was the day the American Revolution began. During the revolution, many lives was lost, moments of luck or sadness rose upon the Americans and the British. The conflicts between the Americans and the British was rough and scary for people that was not in the revolution. In 1775 if I was alive and I had the option to either fight or flight would be a very hard decision. People would say no because their not really the fighting type or others will say yes because their either showing-off or their actually brave enough to step up.

The question is “Would you have quit or re-enlisted in the American Continental Army?” By the question itself, you already served a year in the Continental Army, but would I do it again? I would say no and there are many pros and cons to give up. A main pro for staying would being known as a strong man and go down in history as a hero to change our country. A main con would be having a high chance of getting killed or captured by the British or dying of a disease.

The reason I would say no is because of the huge risk of getting killed or captured by the British or death by disease. In the “Valley Forge: would you have quit?” paper it tells you about the terrible conditions American soldiers had to live through at Valley Forge. Having to deal with Britain’s tricks and attacks for a year and coming back for more would be terrible for many soldiers. British soldiers was better at fighting wars because they were better trained than any other army in the world at the time.
