In the IPIP, the test taker rates twenty-one statements from one to five based on how accurate the statements described their life style. The statements focus on various emotional reactions when evoked by different stimuli, and are designed to be concise and easy to understand. When the test is scored one has to reverse the scores of several questions before adding up the points. On this assessment I scored in the 78th percentile, meaning I received a score twenty- eight percent higher than the average test taker. In the E-IQ, the test taker marks true or false in response to twenty questions and like the IPIP the statements focus on various emotional reactions when evoked by different stimuli. On this assessment I scored in the 54th percentile which is four points higher than the average test taker. I believe that the difference between my high percentile rank on the IPIP and my average percentile rank on the E-IQ test is attributed to three aspects of the different tests. The first aspect is how the questions were phrased. In the IPIP questions are situational and specific. An example of this can be found in question six when it asked, I rarely cry during sad movies. This question allowed me to reference multiple times that I watched sad movies and then I was able to recall that I did not cry during most of them.
