Yasmin Delgado, is a twenty-nine year old full-time student, wife, and mother of two beautiful girls. She is the oldest of two siblings, and was raised by her single mother. Yasmin was born in the United States, but both her parents are from the island of Puerto Rico. She is white race, and her ethnic background is Hispanic. In addition, Yasmin is fluent in both English, and Spanish. At the age of twelve, she taught herself to read and write in Spanish. This semester marks her second year at PCCC. It has been an arduous and challenging journey for Yasmin to get where she is now. At the age of sixteen, she dropped out of high school during freshman year. Since then, she had struggled for years to pass the GED exam. Luckily in November of 2013
