In the United States every young person shouldn’t serve at least two years of military service. If you’re to allow every young person to serve at least two years in the military they'll have to have a strong mindset that soldiers currently have. Most soldiers currently joined willingly and not forced meaning that the effort the soldiers put in are genuine making a well established and strong military. When you have every young person serving then the military then becomes weak because not everyone wants to voluntarily serve, the mindset is not all the same. In addition there are other careers that need attention in those two years. For example what if someone wants to become a doctor instead of serving in the military having them serve is a waste of time on their part. Those two years could be used for something that is more essential to that person which is going to college to become a doctor. The requirements for the army may not be suitable or reachable for every young person. Not all young woman who would join would be able to do 19 push-ups, 53 sit-ups, and a two mile run in 18 minutes and 54 seconds. For the simple fact that it may be too much for a woman to do physically. Certain medical problems may stop young people from reaching the requirements for the military as well. For example, a person may have motion sickness or asthma those factors can affect someone from joining the military. If someone were to join the military with medical problems due to trauma that occurs , those problems may worsen.
