The Different points of views in History In the secondary source, “Your heroes are not our heroes” by Ramon Rivera, Director of Cultural Affairs Office of Taino Tribal Affairs and a Primary Source called “Translation of the Columbus Letter”, originally written by Christopher columbus, they both talk about the encounterments that Columbus and his men have made with the Native Americans. Despite the fact that the sources are totally different considering one is a secondary source and the other is a primary they both contain many similarities along with their differences. Each author has a different point of view on how the interactions between the two went. Although, the authors share the same idea when it comes to the outcome as well as impact the Europeans have left on the natives in the end. The way the two authors explain the encounterments between the Native Americans and the European Explorers are very different. The Secondary source explains the event to be very torturous towards the natives.
