Drugs, alcohol, violence and mental health are just some of the issues concerning our community. Those issues were also some of the main topics discussed the YWCA Y-H8 Youth Summit Community Report Out Session.
Addressing topics like bullying, social media, drugs and alcohol, students brainstormed ways to tackle those issues. Over 100 students from area high schools talked about the pros and cons of how drugs and alcohol are impacting their peers. Many of them said tobacco is a growing issue in their schools, and asked their teachers to keep an eye out.
