All-State Rehearsal Schedule District Audition Rehearsals
5 weeks Week 1 (August 26-30) - Audition contract is due on Friday, August 30. - Sopranos – Mon. 3-4, Thurs. 4-5 - Altos – Mon. 4-5, Thurs. 3-4 - Tenors – Tues. 3-4, Wed. 4-5 - Basses – Tues. 4-5, Wed. 3-4 - GOAL – Solfege learned for all audition music. Week 2 (September 3-6) No school on Monday, Sept. 2 - Sopranos –Thurs. 4:15-5:30 - Altos – Thurs. 3-4:15 - Tenors – Tues. 3-4, Wed. 4-5 - Basses – Tues. 4-5, Wed. 3-4 - GOAL – Able to sing all audition music with the singer on the CD. Week 3 (September 9-13) - *No rehearsal on Thursday, September 12 (Welcome Concert)* - Sopranos – Mon. 3-4:15 - Altos – Mon. 4:15-5:30 - Tenors – Tues. 3-4, Wed. 4-5 - Basses – Tues. 4-5, Wed. 3-4 - GOAL – Able to sing all audition music with the CD accompaniment. - Mock district audition on Friday, September 13, any student who does not know his or her music will be cut. Week 4 (September 16-20) - Students without a private voice teacher will sign up for private voice lessons with Gallagher or Music. Week 5 (September 24-27) - Students without a private voice teacher will sign up for private voice lessons with Gallagher or Music. - Friday, September 27, 3-4pm cut rehearsal ALL PARTICIPANTS

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, DISTRICT AUDITION (Angleton HS) Region Audition Rehearsals 5 weeks

Week 1 (September 30-October 4) - Students who are found to be ineligible on Friday, October 4 will be cut from the all-state group. - Sopranos – Mon. 3-4, Thurs. 4-5 - Altos – Mon. 4-5, Thurs. 3-4 - Tenors – Tues. 3-4, Wed. 4-5 - Basses – Tues. 4-5, Wed. 3-4 - GOAL – Able to sing audition music with the singer on the CD. Week 2 (October 7-11) - *No rehearsal on Thursday, October 10 (MJH Fall concert)* - Sopranos – Mon. 3-4:15 - Altos – Mon. 4:15-5:30 - Tenors – Tues. 3-4, Wed. 4-5 - Basses – Tues. 4-5, Wed. 3-4 - GOAL – Able to sing all audition music with the CD accompaniment. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26, REGION AUDITION (Clear Creek HS)

MANVEL HIGH SCHOOL REQUIREMENTS OF ALL-STATE PARTICIPANTS
1. Availability. a. All students who audition must be available for the Saturday, September 28th district audition day, and the Saturday, October 26rd region audition day. b. All students who audition must be available for the Friday, November 8th region choir clinic at Moody Methodist Church and the Saturday, November 9th region choir concert at Santa Fe High School. c. Students who are not available for the dates listed above should NOT audition. 2. Cost a. Students who want to enter the All-State audition process will be charged a $20 fee for music and a practice CD. b. Students will also be charged a $15 audition fee (Due Wednesday, September 4th) after rehearsals begin. c. Students who are experiencing financial difficulties are encouraged to discuss them with the choir director so that an alternate payment plan may be created. 3. Eligibility a.
