Bud, Not Buddy in Modern Era

Bud's life is delightful, but what would it be like in modern era? First, of all his mother wouldn't have gotten sick and died. Next, it would have been more sanitary. Last, Bud wouldn't have been as hungry. So, Bud not Buddy would have been completely different in modern era.

Bud was looking for his father. He had to get food, so he went to the mission and didn't make it. So, a family pretended he was their son. Then, he was in Hooverville for a night. He found Herman Calloway {his dad}, but Herman didn't believe Bud. Finally, they figured out that Herman Calloway was his grandfather. Bud's mom was Herman's daughter. They never heard from Bud mom because she ran away, but they have now heard from her, {Bud}.

He wouldn't be hungry because, we have churches that feed tons of people now. Bud would have gotten food even if he late to a mission. Unlike chapter 6. We also have food drives. Food drives happen a lot, so people don't starve. Another thing we have is neighbors. If we are starving and they never see that we haven't ate in a while, they will probably feed you.

Then, in modern era Bud's mom wouldn't have died. Because we have hospitals now. Herman would've known if his daughter was dead, unlike chapter 1. We have drug stores, and grocery stores that carry medicine so you can keep yourself healthy. People take vitamins to stay healthy. They also take med to keep them from getting sick.

Last, when the great depression was going on, it was not very sanitary. We have showers, and we wash our hand daily. We also can wash our cloths daily. In modern era food is cleaner, and healthier for you. Modern era would be a lot more sanitary. Bud's cloths were not sanitary or his hand in chapter 3,4,5, and
