An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on this date. I arrived at the operation which is located at 6004 Richmond Road about 12:57 pm. I was greeted by Danika Thomas who stated the director was at lunch and Emily Howard in the infant room was in charge. Danika called Andrea Tefteller the director and she arrived approximately 10 minutes later. When Andrea the director arrived, I introducted my self and handed her a business card. The purpose of the inspection and the subchapters that would be evaluated were explained to Andrea.
Preparation for the inspection included reviewing frequency of inspections made, observing the operations compliance history, the operations fee history, background check list and controlling person list, etc
The Director was present. Andrea Tefteller qualifies under 746.1501(a)(1) which is non-expiring license. Director Training was reviewed and found not current, as she had 30 hours but was lacking training in child abuse and SIDS/brain development.
Background check rules and compliance were discussed with Andrea.
