This project has opened my eyes to a lot, it was different to just focus on the interaction of one child and their caregiver instead of the teacher and all their students. It was also interesting to see how a caregiver, could easily be an educarer interact with their child and still make it educational without any additional effort, or overthinking (Gerber, Magda 2012). However, the caregiver was also an educator so it also informed me that being an educarer takes time and practice it doesn’t just happen. This observation also enabled me to see that interactions be sincere and loving but also help with a child’s development and learning. The horse says neigh!”. There was such an ease and quickness with her response, whereas, I would have paused and had to of thought about how to respond to the child. This project also allowed me to see that it’s easy to have two children at least two years apart be able to interact and both learn something while interacting with each other and their caregiver. It was hard for me to comprehend that children could interact with a caregiver and each other and still learn something due to them being at different developmental milestones. However, seeing the siblings interact and learn from each other with ease was eye opening. The younger sister was coping what her big brother was doing and trying to do the same activities that he was doing, such as drawing. The big brother was trying to help show his little sister how to perform activities that he could see she was still trying to perfect, and he was learning how to interact with younger
