As with most situations in life, there are likely to be disagreements within the school environment, whether this is between children, young people or adults. When a situation arises where there are disagreements it is important to try not to apportion blame but to resolve the disagreement so that all parties involved can move forward. All parties involved will have their opinion on the matter and it is important to try and establish the cause of any misunderstandings and to find a resolution as quickly as possible. Having an awareness of this will assist you in dealing with disagreements when they arise. If you can build positive relationships from the outset then this will greatly assist in knowing how and when to best speak to any other parties in order to resolve any disagreement. The way in which a disagreement is approached is important. Rather than highlighting someone or something as being the problem, it is best to be supportive and asking the other party what you can do to help the situation.
