Eighth grade can be an extremely memorable and amazing year; however, it can be a tough transition from seventh grade. Teachers are stricter, and expect way more from you. You may find yourself stressed out about your grades. Here are some tips on how to ace eighth grade! During your eighth grade year you may find yourself lost in a lesson wondering “Did she explain that?” It’s really important to remember to listen to everything Mrs. Clare and Mr. Vollman say. They do a really good job of explaining everything. However, you will have to listen to get the directions and understand the lesson.When you talk to your friends during a lesson, or just completely zone out, you will get really behind in your work. You could also miss important details and little bits of information that you could be tested on. I know for many years your teachers have told you that this would help you, but doing my vocabulary cards made it so much easier to study on tests. I could see this in my results when I got them back. In Mrs. Clare’s vocabulary class your notecards are actually an important part of your grade that can affect your overall score in her class. In Mr. Vollman’s science class doing your vocabulary is also a part of your grade. Using your vocabulary cards is a great way to study. They have every piece of information that will be tested on. Using your cards to study will be a more efficient way to get studying done. I recommend doing the words on your cards that you do not know in a different color then the words you do know.
