What is abortion? Abortion is the removal of an embryo or fetus from the uterus in order to end a pregnancy. Now, what does wrong stand for? Wrong is not in accordance with what is morally right or not correct in action, method, etc. What do these two words have in common? Wrong simply describes what abortion really is in just one word. Abortion is the leading cause of death in the world. We have lost more Americans through abortion than we have in all our twelve wars combined. This is sixty-four times more. The world kills more people through abortion than all of the deaths combined. This is twenty-two times as many. This concludes that, abortion is simply wrong. It is not morally right because all life is sacred, a fetus can feel, and abortion is simply just murder! All life is sacred. Every single person in this world, even an unborn fetus, is precious. Should we allow discrimination against entire classes of living humans?! Shouldn’t we grant equal rights and protection to all living things? Never once, in modern times has the country granted to one citizen the absolute legal right to have another killed in order to solve their own personal, social or economic problem. Pope John Paul once said, “All human life from the moment of contraception and through all subsequent stages is sacred, because human life is created in the image and likeness of God. Nothing surpasses the greatness or dignity of a human. If a person’s right to life is violated at the moment in which he is first conceived in his mother’s womb, an indirect blow is struck also at the whole moral order”. Paul is absolutely correct; no one has the right to be taking away such precious life. No law in the world allows one person to take the life of another and abortion is quite equivalent to that. There are more sensible options to abortion, such as adoption. People who do not want to bring up a child can give it up for adoption. At least that way, the child gets the chance to live and also find a loving home. There is never an unwanted child in this world and every child is as precious! A fetus is an unborn baby. It is an unborn baby that has a sense of touch. Even though it may not be fully formed, a fetus in the second trimester is still able to feel pain. Why do you think a baby starts kicking its mom’s stomach whenever the father makes stupid noises at it? When they tell someone that abortion is a matter just between a woman and her doctor, they’re forgetting someone else; the child! The one main thing that a fetus has to start with is a heartbeat.

It is nearly impossible anymore to find someone who doesn't have an opinion about abortion, and probably a strong opinion at that. Yet the endless debates on the topic usually go nowhere, leaving the opponents even more committed to their positions and the open-minded observers confused. Both sides make a good case. An unwanted child is a pitiful thing, and the attendant social problems (single motherhood, financial destitution, child neglect, and urban…
When people think of an abortion, they think of it as just terminating a pregnancy, but it is so much more than that. An abortion is the unethical killing of an innocent unborn child. A child that could have been a famous celebrity, a child that could have been the next president, a child that could have changed this country for the better and go down in history, but that child would never see the light of day. The Unborn Victims of Violence Act states that any woman intentionally killing or attempting…
Abortion in most cases should be illegal
Abortion is the termination of pregnancy by the removal or expulsion of the uterus of a fetus or
embryo prior to viability. An abortion can occur spontaneously, in which case it is called a miscarriage, or
it can be purposefully induced. The term abortion, most commonly refers to the induced abortion of a
human pregnancy. In June 1969, Norma L. MCcorvey discovered that she was pregnant with her third
child. She returned to Dallas TX where friends…
This essay is about the Abortion debates. I choose to write about this because of my personal views. The Abortion debate is one of the biggest debates in the United States. Many topics come up in the Abortion debates from both sides. I have 6 Points from both sides of the issue.
The first point I would like to talk about is when is the fetus considered to be a human life? Pro-life thinks that life begins at conception, so abortion is akin to murder as it is to the act of taking a human life. Now…
Abortion is a matter of individual choice. There was a picture of a fetus cut up into pieces but what if No one can say with certainty when a fetus becomes a person. The unborn is simply a clump of tissue. So, abortion is terminating a pregnancy, not killing a baby. Life begins at birth, that's why we celebrate birthdays, not conception days.
It is inhumane to use abortion to set artificial standards of quality for human life. No one has the right to judge the quality of another human being's life…
Abortion is something that’s very big in this country and for the most wrong. I’m going to talk about what an abortion is and methods. The rights women have to obtain one. I’m want to talk about the pros and cons about it. Why woman do it. Should it be legal and what are other options to consider rather than taking someone’s right to live and have a life away.
Abortion is one of the most common medical procedures performed in…
Abortion is a huge argumental discussion and talked about endlessly across the US. It, is one crucial point to war on women. The demoralising practice of harming an innocent unborn child, which could be easily avoided.
Every year, about fifty percent of all pregnancies are unintended. Almost half of these unplanned pregnancies, 1.3 million a year, are ended by abortion. That means that one in every four women has ended a child’s life. This is where I think the war on women should draw a line. Taking…
Abortion is a growing issue in America among women and their right to reproduce children. First we need to define abortion; abortion is an issue which splits the American public, particularly along religious lines. Pro-life- typically believe that the life of the fetus or baby is inviolable, and should be legally protected. Pro-Life will argue that life begins at conception. Pro-choice- typically believe that women should have the right to choose what happens to and with their bodies. Women get abortions…
limit on murder…except under the premises of abortion. Abortion has been legal in the United States since January 22nd, 1973 (Luker, K., vol 16, no.3). Although everyone agrees that murder is illegal and anyone who murders someone should be brought to justice, often times mothers are able to abort their unborn babies and simply walk away. “Abortion refers to any pregnancy that does not end in carrying a live baby.” Thus, miscarriage can be labeled abortion as well- but it is not the lawful act of…
