In the book the Illiad, two men Achilles the very brave and Agamemnon a great fighter got into a scary fight, forgave each other and then became friends. They also stopped trying to kill each other. In the Bible it says “ But if we confess our sins he will forgive our sins.” 1 John 1:9.their relationship is very odd. It is good that it all ends well.

Achilles and Agamemnon’s fight started over a girl. The girl was beautiful, and her name was Briseis. The fight over the beautiful young girl is one of the main topics in thee book. The fight started by Achilles the great took Agamemnon’s war prize which was Briseis the beautiful girl. Achilles would not give Agamemnon back his war prize. So then Agamemnon had to steal the beautiful Briseis from Achilles. Agamemnon said to the Heralds:” Go now to the tent of Achilles,and fetch thence the girl Briseis.And if he does not let her go, say that i will come with others to fetch her, and that it will be worse for him.”. So this is how Achilles and Agamemnon’s relationship started. …show more content…
Agamemnon gave Achilles many great things such as servants, gold and twenty of the most beautiful woman in the city. He also gave Briseis back to Achilles. He was trying to win Zeus’s favor by forgiving Achilles. Achilles was very happy to get his beautiful Briseis
