Adnan Syed. Supposed murderer of his ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee.

Adnan Masud Syed, her ex-boyfriend, was convicted in February 2000 of first-degree murder and given a life sentence plus 30 years. Hae Min Lee was a Korean-American high school senior at Woodlawn High School in Baltimore, Maryland, United States, who disappeared on January 13, 1999. Her body was found four weeks later in Leakin Park, the victim of murder by manual strangulation. I think Adnan wasn’t the one who committed the murder of Hae Min Lee.

Sarah Koenig seems to be a bit biased. Sarah Koenig is the person who narrated serial. Sarah even says herself, “I’m not a detective or private investigator. I’m not even a crime reporter.” So why is she getting involved? She explains his eyes. Why did she need to describe his eyes. She has no business getting involved, So why did she in the first place? Some people would say “because she wanted closure”. Closure for what? I’m pretty sure she hasn’t heard Adnan’s name till he was arrested. But everytime he told what he knew, his story would change. Jay was one of Adnan’s friends. He was also his drug dealer. Adnan and Jay went to middle school together. They weren’t close close but they had mutual friends. Jay said Adnan told him to help him dig the hole, and he refused the first time he told the police his story. The second time, he told the police he did help Adnan bury Hae. Jay also said Adnan said he was going to kill Hae the day he did it. But the second time he was interviewed, he said Adnan said it before-hand. Either Jay doesn’t have a good memory or he’s lying. But why would he be lying unless he had something to hide. If Jay helped Adnan bury Hae, why wasn’t Jay arrested also? If Adnan talked about killing Hae before, joking or not, Jay should have reported it.
