Did you know that African elephants are the smartest non-primate animals and has 5.8 billion neurons in their brains? They can weigh up to seven tons. In this, the reader will learn about their pregnancy, species, and teeth.

African elephants technically have six teeth. The four molars help them chew the grass and leaves. The two tusks help protect them and their young. Both cows (females) and bulls (males) have tusks. Bulls have heavier, longer, and bigger than cows. Their tusks are made out of ivory and that is the main cause of African elephants being an endangered species.
