All my life I have strived to excel in everything I do. In highschool I started a job as soon as I was legally old enough. In less than a year I was promoted as the youngest associate trainer in the store’s history. In that same time I worked hard and earned good grades in school. Outside of school and work, I volunteered heavily within my community orchestra and church. I finished high school in December, a semester early, and instead of taking time off, I took classes at a local community college to reduce the cost of my education. This work ethic and drive for success transferred to my college career when I began taking summer classes at UND only two weeks after officially graduating from high school. As soon as I got to campus I joined the local chapter of Women in Aviation, an organization I had joined while still in highschool. At UND i have served as secretary and now president of the organization. Freshman year I applied for an amazing opportunity flying for the Air Race Classic team. To my delight I got the position and am now competing as the pilot in command in this year’s race. These leadership roles and opportunities have helped me grow and develop a wide array of skills I wouldn’t have otherwise had the chance to exercise. When given an opportunity I make the most out of it, giving one hundred percent of my time and energy.

After only 3 years, I am preparing to graduate in August. I have taken out loans and depend heavily on help from my family with personal loans to finance my education. While my parents help provide financial support for living expenses, I also have four siblings who have all gone through college with my parents help. They are under a heavy financial burden because they are currently helping my older brother with interest payments, while my twin sister and I are full time university students. I try to do as much as I can to help by having a job to help with living
