Day 1:
On July 24th 1897 Amelia Earhart was born.
She was the very first female pilot to fly across the Atlantic Ocean.
But in 1937 she vanished while flying over the Pacific Ocean.
In 1920 Amelia went to a Long Beach Air show, that changed her life.
At the air show she took a plane ride that was as little as 10 Min. long, But when she landed she knew she wanted to learn how to fly

In the summer of 1921, she purchased her first biplane nicknamed “The Canary” that was bright yellow.
On October 22, 1922, she made history flying 14,000 feet which was the world altitude record for female pilots.
Day 2:

On May 20th,1932 she headed from Newfoundland to Paris, her flight did not go smooth, She had to deal with bad weather, thick clouds and even having ice on the wings of the plane
However Amelia didn't make it to paris, She had to make a landing in Londonderry, Ireland and it just so happened that she landed in a farmer's backyard
The flight lasted 15 hours, and for this flight Amelia received many honors and also became an international hero
From 1930 to 1935, she set seven women records for speed and distance.
About the time of her 40th birthday, Earhart wanted to set her biggest and last record by flying all the way around the world and become the first women to do it.
On June 1, 1937, Amelia and her navigator (Fred Noonan) started their 29,000 mile trip.
