On the night March 5, 1770 many American Colonists were shot and wounded by British soldiers. Many claim it was the British soldiers fault. Many also believe that the American Colonists had a part in what is now called The Boston Massacre. A great deal of the Colonists tried to suggest that they had done nothing wrong on this night. The committee of the Town of Boston also believed that, “under the command of Captain Preston and by his orders fired upon the inhabitants promiscuously,” (Primary Source #1).
