This first semester, in US History 1, the assignment that was given was the Revolution Hero Project. The purpose of this assignment was to help learn more about the individuals in the time of the American Revolution. It took about two weeks to have it completed to present to the class. The first thing that was done is that notes on the time of the revolution were taken so that learning about the revolution hero would be more interesting and exciting. The notes gave an idea on what happened in the time of the individual. The first part of the assignment was to do research on the revolution hero and type a two to three page report on him or her. After that, we have to prepare for our thirty to sixty second presentation in the way that our revolution …show more content…
This is what I look forward to at school. It makes me think of what I would do if I were in that time period. Would I be for the British or for the independence of America? That is sometimes what I ask myself. Second of all, this makes me reflect on my own life. I think, what can I apply to my life so that I do not make the same mistakes as they have made.This is the one assignment that I can actually reflect on my own life. Even though public speaking is not my thing, speaking about a subject that I like and have studied for a while makes me feel more comfortable and less nervous. The standards were not hard to show proficiency in. First of all, I showed, in my artifact, that I have cited specific textual evidence to support the sources that I have used. I used a works cited to show where I got my information from and so I can show that I did not plagiarize. I analyzed in detail the series of events described in the sources that I used. I used research data to complete the two to three page report that I was required to do. In the report, I described what had happened in the time of my revolution hero which was Patrick Henry. I planned it out at first and then I revised and edited the report so that it can show that it was not plagiarized and to show that I have researched and know the topic. In the revision part, I checked to see if the work was done the way the requirements said it should be done. It was not so hard to complete the stated standards in my
