When coming to Angelo State this past fall, I had no idea how to be a good writer. I knew very little of what it took to compose a well-organized essay or how to convey my thoughts in an educated manner. Additionally, I learned that my reading technique needed some work as well. I was also taught critical reading skills which I had lacked awareness of before this course. Furthermore, I was informed that critical reading is a process and not just a way in which we read. After unearthing my inferiority in reading and writing abilities, I set out to better myself in these areas and expand my bounds. I expected nothing less than to end the semester with confidence in my writing and I was quite impressed in how the semester started off. I can now
