Anne Frank was born June 12, 1929. When World War 2 started Anna and her family went into hiding, In early July 1942, the family went into hiding for two years. Anne’s family is her mom Edith, dad Otto, and her sister Margot. Anne Frank's family went into hiding in an attic apartment behind Otto Frank's business, located in Amsterdam.While Anne was in hiding she would write in her diary, which has now been turned into a play. On August 4th 1944 everyone in the Secret Annex is arrested. Otto Frank is the only person from the Secret Annex to survive the camps. The play The Diary of Anne Frank ends with the statement, "In spite of everything, I still believe that people are really good at heart." These words were found in an entry in her diary dated July 1944, several months before she perished in a concentration camp. Why might Anne have felt this way during her ordeal? Anne was known to always have hope and she was even very positive during the whole experience. I believe that Anne felt this way because she knew that some people were being forced to do bad things. Hitler took charge and changed everything. If you were a little kid your schooling would change. Kids would be raised to serve Hitler. Anne must have know that some people didn’t choose that path and that they were actually nice people at
