Anthony Rizzo, an Italian, a Florida Native, First Baseman for the Chicago Cubs, and Cancer Survivor. Anthony Vincent Rizzo was born August 8th ,1989 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He is one of baseball’s most famous players because he helped the Chicago Cubs win the World Series for the first time in 108 years, and he did it after battling and beating Hodgkin's Lymphoma. His family didn’t know they were going to go through a relief and heartbreak all because of one disease, a little over 19 years later, they also didn’t know that they were raising not just a professional baseball player, but a humanitarian that has so much compassion as well.
