“93% of pediatricians and 60% of family physicians had seen at least one patient who refused a vaccination for his or her child (Kitta).” Every year vaccines save thousands of lives as well as thousands of dollars in medical costs. However, each year plenty of parents decide to opt out of vaccinating their children because they fear there is more harm in it than good. This is causing a problem in our country and the world because children are being put at risk and do not have the right to choose what is best for themselves. Children need to be vaccinated because it is the best thing not only to keep them safe but also to prevent the spread of disease.
