The Atlantic Slave Trade had devastating effects on Africa and its people. During the Atlantic Slave trade, the population in Africa decreased. The Africans were abducted (with no exception for kids), to work in the place of Spaniards and Native Americans (Document B). This affected slaves negatively by impacting their physical, and emotional health. Almost 11 million Africans were taken from Africa, and boarded on to ships (Document C). Often, journeys would be long, and most slaves died on the way with the lack of food. Africans would be sold on a stage, and often families would be separated (Document E).
