Throughout history there have been questions that have plagued humanity’s greatest minds. Questions such as; Are we alone in the Universe?; Why are we here?; What’s the name of the spaces in between the bits that stick out on a comb?

Whether they will ever be answered or not is a completely different story, so we will put those questions aside for now and tackle a real question that is considered to be on par with the aforementioned, “Which of the 5 McDonald’s Restaurants across Ballarat makes the best Cheeseburger?”

With the addition of the Lucas store opening late last year, Ballarat has reached a huge total of 5 McDonald’s restaurants throughout the city. Spoilt for choice, how do we know which store provides the best quality snackage?

I began with the Sturt Street morsel, it was quite tasty I must say, but there was nothing special about it to set it apart from every single other cheeseburger I’ve ever had. Next!

The second and third respectively were from Sebastopol and Lucas. Sebastopol’s ‘Drive-Thru’ was pretty painful seeing as I was in there for a good 20 minutes, and the quality of the final product was not worth the wait considering there was more onion on the outside of the burger than in between those sweet, sweet buns. Lucas’ burger however looked the nicest and nearly left with the top prize, but unfortunately the notorious onion bandit struck again and jeopardized the little guys chances of making it to the big leagues. Maybe next year kid.

The final participants were from Wendouree and Bakery Hill, and I must say, good job to both stores for absolutely smashing out the lunch rush. Sebas must have been relocated to struggle town for the day or something. Wendouree also gets points for being the warmest after the whole collection process.
