Introduction
A person is driven to undertake a mission when they have bravery. Bravery is the most important thing to have when undertaking a mission. The opportunity to have a better life is the push that gives people and the bravery to undertake a mission. The characters from Barrio Boy, The Other Side Of The Sky, and Where The Red Fern Grows all have a thing in common, they had bravery and determination to undertake a mission.

Barrio Boy Ernesto Galarza moved from Mexico to America when he was just a child. He went to school to learn english. Ernesto Galarza learned an important lesson that living in America doesn’t mean you have to give up on your own culture. Ernesto Galarza had to brave to move to someplace where he did not know the language. He went to school because he had goals to learn english and have better life in America. The opportunity to have a better life encouraged and gave bravery to Ernesto Galarza.

Farah Ahmedi and her mother were trying to get to Pakistan. But, the border was blocked so she could not get through. Farah had to be brave when she was only a child or she would not be able to live a better life. Farah Ahmedi and her mother met a family that had a passage to Pakistan and they would let them go with them, but they had to pass a mountain.
