Blaming Capulet To Blame In Romeo And Juliet

During today’s socratic circle I went in thinking that Capulet was to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. In Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare, it was very hard finding only one character to blame but after lots of consideration, I believe Capulet is the one to blame. Many characters in the play contributed towards Romeo and Juliet killing themselves, but I believe it was more Capulet’s fault than any other character.
One of my main reasons for blaming Capulet is because he never supported Juliet in what she wanted. Capulet wasn’t a reasonable person at all. He thought mostly for himself.
