During the years of 1992-1995 the Bosnian Genocide took place. This particular genocide also goes by the title of either the genocide of Zepa and Srebrenica. Another term this genocide masqueraded itself around as was the Ethnic Cleansing Campaign. Sadly, this whole genocide was under the watch and rule of the Army of the Republika Srpska. The term genocide was actually never named until roughly 1944. Genocide is the direct method of killing off multiple people at a time, including a certain type of religion, race or sex. In the year of 1944 the term genocide was created by a Polish-Jewish business man he determined that genocide was the systematic murder that he believed was founded by Nazi Germany. During the year 1995 in Srebrenica there was a mass murder that killed roughly eight-thousand Bosniak. The main target of the Srebrenica attack were male adults and young boys. Throughout this attack over twenty-five thousand Bosniak civilians were expulsed from their communities. The man behind the curtain, if you will, behind all of this was actually sub units of the Army of the Republika Srpska. The campaign was led by Bosnian Serbs, and a large amount of that population was Orthodox. The majority of the people that were targeted throughout the campaign was mostly Muslims and Catholics. Throughout the whole time the cleansing was taking place, many homes and places of business were destroyed along with the destruction of places of worship. Along with these locations being destroyed, acts that are unspeakable also took place such as illegal confinement, rape, torture, robbing of families and finally, inhumane treatment of civilians.
