Everyone just wants to live their everyday in peace with no interruption. People just don’t want to bother since everyone has their own problem to deal instead of calling the police when they see something that doesn’t look right. Well there is a theory that a lot of police officers use which is the broken windows theory. The broken windows theory is the theory were police officers were focus on smaller crimes that would help eliminated the threat more dangerous crimes. The New York Police Department (NYPD) uses this theory get people committing the smaller crime, which will lead to the more serious crimes. I feel the broken windows theory works since it helps prevent the sever crimes.

Wilson and George L. Kelling shows that there ways to stop the most dangerous crimes from happening. The broken window theory has had great success in Boston, New York, Los Angeles, and others cities or towns worldwide. The town of Missoula, Montana uses the broken window theory as a major part of their law enforcement strategy. After reading about the success that Commissioner Bratton and other police departments have had since using the broken window theory has made me feel a lot safer knowing that police officers are stopping the most violent crimes from happening. I really do think that the broken window theory is great theory that every police department should use since it actually works.
Doesn’t everyone just want to lives without the fear of being rape or murder? Well there is a theory that a lot of police department use which is the broken windows theory. NYPD and other police departments use the broken window theory to arrest the criminals that commit the smaller crime for that cannot make the serious and life threating crime. My feelings towards the broken windows theory that it works to only make are towns, our cities, and states safer to live
