Security cameras show Laura trying on a ski coat in the aisle, where she slightly bumped the shelves. It was then that the cooking stoves fell, but for lack of secureness they would not have came crashing down.
Laura was immediately sent to the nearest hospital in an ambulance, where the attendant removed a diamond necklace and a ruby and diamond ring she had worn into the discount store after leaving her engagement party. The attendant, John Doe II, turned over Laura’s belongings to the hospital, which was checked in on the hospital’s system by the nurse on call upon arrival.
Doctor John Doe III diagnosed Laura with a concussion and a broken right arm. The severity of the concussion led to memory loss. Laura was right-hand dominant and cannot recall any sense of identity. Her career had been in pediatric dentistry; because of the injuries sustained it is unforeseeable when she will be able to return to her previous lifestyle. Not only Laura, but her fiancé Randy and parents are suffering from emotional distress.
